IT Operations Specialist
Company
NestAI builds the adaptive operating system for modern battlefield operations. Most AI systems are built once, validated at deployment, and expected to stay sufficient after that. That assumption holds until conditions change, and in defence, they always do. Our team develops adaptive intelligence for unmanned and command systems: AI that continuously learns from operational data and adapts to changing conditions, deployed in environments where there is no internet, no GPS, and failure is not an option. NestOS, our open, modular, and interoperable platform, enables this at scale and keeps capability evolution under sovereign European control.
Founded in 2025 by Peter Sarlin, whose previous company Silo AI became Europe's largest AI acquisition, NestAI has grown to over 200 engineers and scientists and partners with leading European defence forces and industry. We're ambitious about what we're building and honest with each other. The bar is high, and so are the standards we hold ourselves to. But this is also a place built on humility, trust, and looking after each other. If that sounds like the kind of work you want to do, keep reading.
Join us as a IT Operations Specialist
We are looking for an IT Operations Specialist to join our IT team. NestAI is growing fast, both in headcount and geographical footprint. This role is the single accountable owner for every device and identity at NestAI, and a key role in the IT & Security team.
Reporting directly to IT Operations, you will run and own device management across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. You will own the full device lifecycle within the hire-to-retire flow.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes building and developing things properly: automated, documented and auditable. Security operations, network security and physical security are handled by dedicated colleagues in the same team, and you will work closely with all of them.
What you'll work on:
As IT Operations Specialist, you'll run and own device management across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android, taking full accountability for the hire-to-retire device lifecycle as NestAI scales. In this role, you will. In this role, you will:
Run MDM across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android: enrollment, compliance baselines, patching, disk encryption and EDR sensor health.
Own the MDM directory and the IdP interface.
Lead upcoming projects centralizing and simplifying Identity and Device management.
Automate joiner, mover and leaver flows with our HR system as the source of truth, so access is right from day one and removed on the last day.
Manage the device lifecycle and asset inventory across the group, and document everything as clear runbooks that also serve as ISO 27001 evidence.
What we're looking for:
Solid experience (equivalent to 5+ years) in hands-on MDM and identity administration, ideally in a fast-growing organisation of 200+ people.
Deep experience with MDM systems (e.g. JumpCloud, Jamf, Intune, Kandji) and IAM (e.g. Jumpcloud, Okta, Entra).
Confident in managing a mixed fleet of macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android devices, with a solid understanding of SSO (SAML, OIDC), SCIM, MFA and conditional access.
Scripting and automation skills (shell, PowerShell or Python), comfort with REST APIs, and experience leading at least one identity or MDM migration end to end.
Strong written and spoken English. Fluency in the Finnish language is considered as an advantage.
Pluses: Relevant certifications such as JumpCloud Core, Jamf 200/300 or Microsoft MD-102; Google Workspace administration; CrowdStrike Falcon deployment; HRIS-driven provisioning; supplying evidence for ISO 27001 audits; experience in TL IV or other accredited/classified environments.
If your background doesn't match every requirement but the work resonates with you, we'd encourage you to apply. How you think, learn, and take ownership matters more to us than ticking every box.

About NestAI
Physical AI is moving from theory to reality. The systems being built today will shape how societies protect people, operate critical infrastructure, and respond under pressure for decades to come.
At NestAI, close to 200 engineers and scientists work at the intersection of software, hardware, and AI — developing autonomy, sensing, and command capabilities for mission-critical use. This isn’t demo work. It’s real systems, built for real environments.
We build in Europe, with open and interoperable architectures, so that critical capabilities can evolve over time without lock-in — and remain accountable to the societies they serve.
