Solutions Architect – Telecom & 5G Networks
Company
NestAI is Europe’s fastest-growing physical AI lab. We build open, sovereign, and reliable autonomous systems and AI-enabled command capabilities for real-world operations — environments where reliability isn’t optional. Our work spans defence, security, and other mission-critical domains where systems must earn trust through performance, not promises. At the core of what we build is an open, modular, and interoperable AI command foundation that integrates data from multiple sources — from UAV sensors and edge devices to situational intelligence platforms — and turns it into decision support and operational capability. Rooted in Nordic engineering heritage, we focus on openness, reliability, and systems that earn trust through performance. We work with intent, iterate fast, and build technology that protects what matters most.
Role Description
We are looking for a Solutions Architect (Telecom/Operator Focus) to join our team full-time in Tampere or Helsinki. In this role, you will be the strategic link between our AI lab and the world of Telecom Operators and Network Vendors.
You will act as an expert to guide our customers where AI can provide a tactical advantage. You will use your deep understanding of how mobile networks are built and operated to identify high-impact use cases for AI: ranging from anomaly detection and interference analysis to predictive network optimization and beyond.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Use Case Development: Identifying and defining where AI/ML can solve real-world problems for operators.
Technical Translation: Acting as the "translator" between NestAI’s AI researchers and the customer’s network engineers, ensuring our models solve actual telco pain points.
Architecture Design: Designing how our AI command foundation integrates with 5G Core, RAN, and operator management systems.
Customer Consulting: Leading technical discussions with key partners to understand their product portfolios and where AI integration is most viable.
Rapid Prototyping: Working with our data teams to validate use cases using real-world operator data and reporting benchmarks to guide product development.
Qualifications
We’re expecting you to have deep expertise from the Telecommunications industry.
Comprehensive understanding of Operator Network architecture (5G Core, RAN, O-RAN, and Management systems).
Strong architectural background with the ability to "whiteboard" complex system integrations.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate large enterprise environments and the ability to identify business value in solving customer problems.
A proactive, "entrepreneurial" mindset: you are comfortable defining a role in a new and rapidly growing team.
Experience in Network Security, QA, or Network Optimization is considered a strong advantage.
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle; while you don't need to be a full-time coder, understanding AI/ML workflows or Python is a plus.
Why join NestAI
At NestAI, you’ll build meaningful, real-world technology as part of a world-class team of engineers, scientists, and experienced professionals. You’ll work on systems where reliability genuinely matters, contribute to Europe’s security and resilience, and solve problems that demand depth, trust, and craftsmanship. If you want to build with purpose — and with leading experts in the field — you’ve come to the right place.

About NestAI
Physical AI is moving from theory to reality. The systems being built today will shape how societies protect people, operate critical infrastructure, and respond under pressure for decades to come.
At NestAI, close to 100 engineers and scientists work at the intersection of software, hardware, and AI — developing autonomy, sensing, and command capabilities for mission-critical use. This isn’t demo work. It’s real systems, built for real environments.
We build in Europe, with open and interoperable architectures, so that critical capabilities can evolve over time without lock-in — and remain accountable to the societies they serve.
